Olympic National Park/Coastal Workshop - 2 Individual Days

Join professional landscape photographers Jordan Roberts and Addam Soule as they lead you through one of America's most iconic National Parks. Visit lush rainforests, rugged beaches, hidden waterfalls and breathtaking vistas as you learn more about your camera, lighting and what really goes into each image. Rain or shine there is something to learn for everyone in this workshop!

We welcome all skill levels as we delve into photographic principles and styles. Due to a smaller group size, there will be plenty of 1-on-1 opportunities with both instructors to ask questions and pursue your individual photographic needs. There will be lots of wildlife spotting opportunities as well, however this workshop will be focusing on landscapes.

This is your chance to take advantage of two unique photographers in one workshop for a great price!! We will be meeting in Forks, WA the first morning for meet-and-greet and staying in Port Angeles, WA that night to position ourselves for the following morning. Both days will include a full day of photography/travel. All detailed information will be forwarded to you via email after reserving a spot.

Preparations

Camera:

-A Digital Camera with interchangeable lenses is recommended to get the most out of the workshop, but you may use any camera that you would like.

Hiking:

-During the two jam-packed days of photography instruction, some easy to moderate hiking will be involved. The longest hike being under two miles one way with 350 feet elevation gain/loss and doing no more than 5 miles a day. However, we will be venturing from sea level to over 5000' feet in elevation so be prepared, weather on the Olympic Peninsula can change fast.

Clothing:

-Something warm and water resistant is recommended, base layers are always a good idea. Waterproof boots are ideal but just need something that will keep you warm and that you don't mind getting muddy, if nothing else..socks, socks and more socks!

Food and water:

-Water and energy bars, nuts or seeds are very important to have on you at all times. We won't be too far from civilization but only scheduled stops will be made to replenish water and food unless there is an emergency.

Meals/Lodging:

-Meals and Lodging are not included. There will be time for an early dinner before we reconvene for sunset on the first day, and a chance for breakfast after early morning sunrise on day two.

-Recommended lodging is at the Red Lion Hotel or the Days Inn. If you are interested in camping, the closest recommended campground is at the Heart of the Hills Campground.
